[Piping Magnetite Method Case Study] JR East South Nagasaki Housing
Is black rust really forming after the installation of The Bio Water? Proof of magnetite formation!
Here is an introduction to the case of JR East Japan Minami-Nagasaki Housing (Minami-Nagasaki, Toshima Ward, Tokyo). We conducted a demonstration of magnetite (black rust) formation using the "Piping Magnetite Method." After 14 months of installing The Bio Water, we quantitatively analyzed the rust components to determine if black rust had indeed formed. When the ratio of divalent iron to trivalent iron in the rust is 1:2, it can be classified as black rust (i.e., magnetite Fe3O4). As a result, the divalent iron was measured at 0.6 and the trivalent iron at 1.3, giving a ratio of approximately 1:2. Given that the component ratio is nearly 1:2, we can conclude that this rust is indeed black rust. [Case Overview] ■ Test Methods - Qualitative analysis of rust components in the water supply pipe using fluorescent X-ray analysis - Obstruction rate of the water supply pipe using a gamma-ray piping diagnostic device - Measurement of remaining wall thickness using an ultrasonic thickness gauge - Water quality testing (iron content testing / conducted 9 times) *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us. *The section titled "Trigger for Interest" displayed during the PDF download is generated by the AI of Ipros Co., Ltd.
